Frequently Asked Questions
What’s happening if my tan becomes splotchy after a week?
You need moisture! The splotchiness is a result of dry skin. After 10 days, it may be time to exfoliate. Use a exfoliate mit or scrub and gentle scrub the area that’s splotchy; the remaining tan will even out. To remove the remainder of the tan, continue to exfoliate in every shower.
What do I do if one spot got too much spray during tanning?
Whether a collection got around hand area, foot area or even palms and bottom of feet- during your rinse period, simply exfoliate that area to lighten the coverage. If on palm or bottom of foot, you can be more aggressive with your exfoliation.
Can I put my bra back on after my spray tan?
You will want to wear loose clothes immediately after the spray tan. No bra is recommended after the service, until after your first rinse.
Will a spray tan protect me from the sun?
No! You will need to use a water based sunscreen if going into the sun with your spray tan. It does not protect you from getting burnt.
How do I exfoliate before my spray tan?
You will want to use an exfoliating mitt in the shower to get off dead skin cells. This is best used in combination with a sugar scrub. A loofa and/or washcloth does not exfoliate the skin. DO NOT USE any soaps or deodorants before the spray tan like Dove, Olay, or similar products. These products leave a barrier on the skin and the spray tan will not go on evenly. If you have any questions about body wash before the tan, please contact us.
What should I wear during a spray tan appointment?
Disposable panties are provided at no extra cost. You may go nude or bring your own underwear/swimsuit to wear as well.
How soon after my spray tan can I shower?
You may get a rapid or traditional solution. If you get rapid, you can rinse in as little as 1-4 hours after the appointment depending on how tan you would like to become. If you get a traditional solution, you will shower 8-12 hours after the appointment.
I have an event coming up; when should I book my tan? Depends on the event; We go by these rules:
Wedding/Brides 2 days prior; Formal/Dance 1 day prior; Vacation/Beach 1-2 days prior.
What is the best way to keep my tan looking fresh?
Moisturize!!! Using a sulfate-free lotion 2x a day will help your tan looking gorgeous.
